Icy Roads and Some Snow Accumulation This Morning

An Alberta Clipper will move through today, and bring a swath of snow and rain to the area. Rain falling initially could keep snow accumulations down, but there could be a narrow band of an inch or 2 of snow from the Devils Lake Basin into the central Red River Valley southeast to around Wadena by this afternoon. Expect roads in the heavier snow band to become slick by this morning. There will also be strong northerly winds increasing this morning, causing temperatures to hover near freezing and producing slick roads. High temperatures today and Monday will struggle to reach the mid 30s for most areas, making it feel like mid November. The cold weather will persist through next week, with the chance for some snow showers Sunday night into Monday mainly in northwest Minnesota.
