Hazardous Travel...Blizzard Conditions

Blizzard conditions will affect eastern North Dakota and adjacent portions of Minnesota into the evening hours. Winds across the region will be north 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 50 mph. This will result in blowing snow reducing visibilities to less than one quarter of a mile with localized white out conditions. Improved but still hazardous conditions are expected east of the valley, where the primary hazards will be drifting snow and rapidly falling temperatures. Temperatures will fall rapidly across the ENTIRE region tonight and a wind chill warning may be needed, especially across the north, after 9 PM. This frigid airmass will remain in place through mid week.
