Updated Spring Flood Outlook

The National Weather Service has updated the probabilistic Spring Flood Outlook. It shows normal to below normal chances for minor and moderate flooding for all of the rivers and streams in the region, and below normal chances for major flooding. One thing to remember as we head through the next several weeks is that these outlooks do not account for any flooding resulting from ice jams. Due to the long and cold winter, ice thicknesses are greater than what we've seen in the past several years. As we start seeing runoff from snow melt and any possible early Spring rains, the potential for ice jam flooding is considerable for the next several weeks.

More details can be found on the NWS FSD Hydrologic Outlook.
