Cool Weather Pattern This Week

Cooler air will remain across the region through much of the week. Expect light northerly winds across the entire region on Tuesday. High temperatures will to be anywhere from15 to 20 degrees below normal today. A gradual warm up will begin on Wednesday and continue into the latter part of the week.

Huron

Since climatological records began (1881-present), Huron has had 89 days where the high temperature in July did not reach 70 degrees.  In 1915, there were seven days that month where the high temperature remained below 70 degrees. The coolest record low maximum temperature for the month of July is 62 degrees, which has been tied for seven days throughout the month.

Sioux City

Since climatological records began (1889-present), Sioux City has had 50 days where the high temperature in July did not reach 70 degrees.  In 1909, 1915, 1951 & 1981, there were three days that month where the high temperature remained below 70 degrees. The coolest record low maximum temperature for the month of July is 60 degrees, which occurred on July 23, 1896.

Sioux Falls

 Since climatological records began (1889-present), Sioux Falls has had 57 days where the high temperature in July did not reach 70 degrees.  In 1992, there were five days that month where the high temperature remained below 70 degrees. The coolest record low maximum temperature for the month of July is 58 degrees, which occurred on July 18, 1912.
