Temperatures across Eastern South Dakota...Southwest Minnesota...and Northwest Iowa have been below normal since the 27th of January...when the first batch of arctic air plunged into the area. Normally by this time of year...daily averages begin climbing into the teens or lower 20s. However...this year they have been holding mostly in the single digits above zero. Daily average temperatures are forecast to remain below normal through at least early next week.
