February 2006 above normal but much cooler than January 2006

Average temperatures for February 2006 were normal to above normal across southeast South Dakota and northwest Iowa.  Despite temperatures being up to 2.8 degrees above normal, it was much cooler than January. The following table compares average temperatures for January and February 2006.
