Both Sioux City, IA and Sioux Falls, SD are well on the way to setting new record daily rainfall amounts

AS OF 900 PM THE DAILY RAINFALL FOR BOTH SIOUX CITY  AND SIOUX FALLS HAD PASSED PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED RECORDS...

THE SIOUX CITY RAINFALL TOTAL AT 900 PM WAS 2.12 INCHES...THE PREVIOUS RECORD FOR MARCH 31ST WAS 1.03 INCHES SET IN 1998.

AS OF 900 PM THE RAINFALL FOR SIOUX FALLS WAS 3.20 INCHES...WELL BEYOND THE PREVIOUS RAINFALL  RECORD OF 2.00 INCHES SET IN 1897.

BOTH LOCATIONS WILL NOT ONLY SET A RECORD FOR THE DAY...TODAY’S TOTALS WILL GO INTO THE RECORD  AS THE HIGHEST DAILY RAINFALL AMOUNTS FOR ANY DAY IN THE MONTH OF MARCH.

STAY TUNED...ANOTHER REPORT WILL BE ISSUED EARLY ON SUNDAY WITH THE FINAL
RECORD RAINFALL AMOUNTS.
