LOW TEMPERATURES ACROSS SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA...SOUTHWEST
MINNESOTA...AND NORTHWEST IOWA THIS MORNING WERE MAINLY IN THE
SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO...BEHIND A COLD FRONT THAT MOVED SOUTHWARD
INTO NEBRASKA OVERNIGHT. TRACES OF SNOW ALSO FELL AT SCATTERED
LOCATIONS ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF THE AREA. READINGS RECOVERED
ONLY 8 TO 15 DEGREES UNDER A PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKY THIS
AFTERNOON. HERE ARE SOME TEMPERATURE AND PRECIPITATION REPORTS

PLENTY MORE COLDER AIR FURTHER NORTH AND NORTHWEST. ONE OF THE
COLDEST SPOTS IN MINNESOTA WAS INTERNATIONAL FALLS...DIPPING TO 15
BELOW ZERO. THE COLDEST SPOT IN NORTH DAKOTA WAS DEVILS LAKE...
PLUNGING TO 18 BELOW ZERO. THIS WAS THE COLDEST PLACE IN THE NATION.
GRAND FORKS WAS CLOSE BEHIND...WITH 17 BELOW. FARGO WAS JUST AS COLD
AS INTERNATIONAL FALLS...WITH 15 BELOW. THE COLDEST SPOT IN SOUTH
DAKOTA WAS ROY LAKE...REPORTING 9 BELOW ZERO. ABERDEEN WAS ALMOST AS
COLD...WITH 5 BELOW. OVER IN IOWA...SANBORN...ESTHERVILLE...AND MASON
CITY WERE THE THREE COLD SPOTS...ALL DROPPING TO 6 DEGREES ABOVE
ZERO. SOUTHWARD INTO NEBRASKA...MINIMUMS WERE NOT NEARLY AS CHILLY.
CHADRON WAS THE COLDEST...WITH A LOW OF 12 DEGREES.
