THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA...
SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA...NORTHWEST IOWA...AND NORTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WINTER WEATHER...
WIDESPREAD SNOW WILL SPREAD NORTHEAST ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AND
CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOW AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 10
INCHES IS EXPECTED SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM VERMILLION SOUTH
DAKOTA TO JACKSON MINNESOTA. NORTHWEST OF THAT LINE...3 TO 6
INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED. IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW...STRONG
NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WILL DEVELOP LATER THIS AFTERNOON
AND CONTINUE TONIGHT. THIS WILL CREATE WIDESPREAD BLOWING SNOW
WHICH WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES. BITTERLY
COLD WIND CHILLS CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED TONIGHT WITH WIND CHILL
READINGS DROPPING TO 10 BELOW TO 25 BELOW ACROSS THE AREA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WILL PERSIST EAST OF INTERSTATE 29 ON
WEDNESDAY. WIND CHILLS WILL ALSO BE BITTERLY COLD ACROSS THE
REGION...ESPECIALLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.
