Blowing snow and bitter cold today, Brutally cold tonight

Widespread blowing snow can be expected across the area, especially this morning, with blizzard conditions persisting along and west of the James Valley through mid morning. Visibilities will gradually improve from west to east this afternoon as the strong northwest winds decrease to 15 to 30 mph by mid to late afternoon. However, these strong winds along with falling temperatures throughout the day, will produce bitterly cold wind chills of 20 below to 35 below.

Actual temperatures will drop to 15 below to 25 below tonight, and with northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph expected, brutally cold wind of 30 below to 45 below will occur tonight into Friday morning.
