Rock River at Rock Rapids Iowa right at flood stage

Saturday morning, March 13th.

The Rock River at Rock Rapids Iowa has been hovering right at flood stage of 13 feet since about midnight, Saturday March 13th.  Currently, the forecast is for the crest to remain near 13 feet.  However this will be examined further by mid morning March 13th when a new forecast will be issued.  At that point, NWS Sioux Falls will make a decision on issuance of any statements or warnings if needed.  At stages near 13 feet, the lower banks on the left side of the river will begin flooding.
