Severe Weather Awareness Training for 2012

Severe Weather Awareness Training Classes for 2012 have been scheduled.  These classes are intended for those interested in learning more about thunderstorm and tornado development, weather reporting, and severe weather safety.  The free classes are provided by the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls and the County Emergency Managers.  Once again we have had to adopt a more regional training approach and so we hope the travel inconvenience will not prohibit you from attending.  You will never look at the clouds the same way.  Invite a friend as we know you won't regret attending the two-hour session.

If you have any questions concerning these classes or the locations, please contact Todd Heitkamp, Warning Coordination Meteorologist
.   For a listing of the classes, please follow this link:  2012 Severe Weather Awareness Training
