Exceptionally wet summer and early fall

The summer and early fall of 2010 has been very wet to say the least, but just how wet? With the latest round of heavy rains, with amounts ranging from around 10 inches in Mountain Lake Minnesota to a wide swath of 2 to 6 inches from southeast South Dakota into southwest Minnesota and northern parts of northwest Iowa, the records keep piling up. Below are a few examples of rainfall totals from June 1 through September 30.
