Winter Storm Possible late Thursday Night and Friday west of the James River

A strong storm system will move out of the central Rockies Thursday 
and across the central plains Thursday night and Friday. Widespread
rain will spread north across the region on Thursday and then change
over to snow west of Intestate 29 later Thursday night or Friday.
Heavy snow will be possible late Thursday night through Friday with
the potential for more than 6 inches of snow west of the James Valley.
