Hazy Sky due to smoke from Southern Rockies

Have you noticed the hazy skies over the area? This visible satellite image from late Monday afternoon shows the dense smoke plume from the wildfires in the Southern Rockies, extending through the western Plains into southeast South Dakota and much of Iowa.  In fact, in the lower left corner of the highlighted area, you can see one of the points of origin, the large fire in east central Arizona.
