Avera McKennan Hospital is now StormReady!

We are proud to announce that Avera McKenna Hospital n Sioux Falls has been recognized as being StormReady by the National Weather Service. Today, Tuesday January 24th, NWS Sioux Falls' Warning Coordination Meteorologist Todd Heitkamp presented Regional President and CEO Dr. Dave Kapaska and Director of Environmental Safety Kathy Jacobs with the StormReady signs that will be displayed at the hospital. Avera McKennan has worked closely with the NWS, the City of Sioux Falls, and Minnehaha County to better prepare their facilities for the next disaster. Avera McKennan continues to demonstrate what it takes to be prepared for the next disaster and that's what makes them worthy of the StormReady recognition.
