NOAA Weather Radio KZZ-60 in Reliance, South Dakota will be Temporarily Taken Down in Late November

The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter at Reliance, South Dakota, (KZZ-60) that services Chamberlain/Oacoma and the surrounding areas in south central South Dakota will be going down in late November.  Its return to service is unknown.  

On December 1, the radio tower that is home to the the NOAA Weather Radio transmitter will be taken down.  The National Weather Service is attempting to find a new tower to house the transmitter.  Once a new tower is identified, the NOAA Weather Radio transmitter will be installed and KZZ-60 will return to service.
