Wessington NOAA Weather Radio Operating in a Degraded State

The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter at Wessington is currently up and running, however its signal is being degraded by ice on the facilities.  Some of the ice should melt during the middle of the week which may help this problem.  However the situation will be monitored closely in case transmitting conditions do not improve.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In the meantime, feel free to tune your NWR receivers to 162.525Mhz for the Arlington NWR transmitter or 162.450Mhz for the Mitchell NWR broacast. The strength of the broacast from these sites will vary depending on your distance from each transmitter.
