NOAA Weather Radio At Russell, MN Off The Air

The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter at Russell, Minnesota, (KXI-50) that services Marshall, MN, and adjacent areas is currently off the air due to a transmission line failure. The telephone companies responsible for the line are investigating the outage. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time at which the broadcast will return to service.

In the meantime...The NWR broadcast may be heard in some areas in a degraded state on surrounding transmitters using frequencies (162.525 and 162.450Mhz). The quality of the broadcast will vary depending on your distance from these other transmitter locations.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
