• Snow will spread from west to east across south central Nebraska and north central Kansas late Monday night and Tuesday.
• Periods of snow will prevail across the area during the day Tuesday.
• Total snow accumulations will average from 3 to 5 inches across the region.
• Heavier snow totals appear more likely along and south of U.S. Highway 6, especially south and east of Hastings, NE.
• Bitter cold temperatures will contribute to the nature of the snow being very powerdy and light.
• Winds will be relatively light and keep blowing and drifting snow at a minimum.
• The snow will taper off to flurries by Tuesday evening.
