While not nearly as windy as yesterday, it will still be a bit on the breezy and cool side today. Northwest winds will remain breezy into the afternoon hours as surface high pressure slides southeast out of the Central Rockies and High Plains, but will then drop off quickly late this afternoon. Clouds will be most prevalent over eastern portions of the Central Plains region today, with skies ranging from sunny in western portions of the region to mostly cloudy in the east. High temperatures are forecast to range from the upper 30s in northeast Nebraska to near 50 in the High Plains. Much warmer air will invade the region for Sunday, sending high temperatures across south central Nebraska and north central Kansas into the mid 50s to mid 60s.
