Wintry Mix Expected Today and Early Tonight

Potpourri of Precipitation Forecast Today and Early Tonight

  •  This afternoon will bring a chance for a mixture of precipitation to south central Nebraska and north central Kansas.
  • The precipitation may include freezing drizzle, freezing rain, sleet and snow. 
  • Precipitation amounts appear light initially this afternoon, but precipitation will increase in coverage and intensity during the evening. The majority of the precipitation will fall between 4 pm and midnight.
  • The icy mixture, no matter how light, will result in slick roads and potentially hazardous driving conditions this afternoon and tonight.
  • The weather system responsible for the precipitation will shift east of the region by Friday morning.
