With the exception of Grand Island...March tended to be more lion-like with cool temperatures and sheepish when it came to rain and snow.  Many locations finished within a half degree of normal...and while others finished the month exceptionally cold...no Top Ten records were broken.

Moisture on the other hand...was significantly lacking.  New all-time minimum precipitation records for March were set or tied at...Smith Center... Plainville and Phillipsburg, Kansas where only a trace of precipitation was measured...based on records dating back 1910, 1905 and 1968 respectively.  Hastings and Kearney experienced their 2nd driest March of record...Beaver City it's 3rd driest since 1893...Grand Island it's 7th driest and Holdrege it's 8th driest March of record.
