A Double Dose Of Windy...May 19-20

A tight pressure gradient squeezed in between surface low pressure over the Central High Plains...and a high pressure ridge extending from Texas across the eastern United States...left central and south central Nebraska and north central Kansas with a pair of windy and warm days, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19-20, 2009. Although sustained wind speeds often reached 30 MPH across parts of the area, peak gusts remained under 45 MPH for the most part.
