July 3 Storm Reports From North Central Kansas

Strong to severe thunderstorms developed across parts of north central Kansas between the mid afternoon and mid evening hours on Friday, July 3, 2009. These storms were responsible for several reports of wind damage, mainly across parts of Rooks and Mitchell counties including in the Plainville and Tipton areas. Locally heavy rain was also an issue, with parts of southern Rooks county receiving between at least 3 to 4 inches.
