   It was the second month running with below normal temperatures...and record low average temperatures were definitely record setters with all but York falling into the Top Ten Coolest July's of record since the late 1800's and early 1900's.  None of our stations finished with an all-time coldest record for the month...but Hastings and Holdrege came close ending up with their 2nd coldest July of record.  Many stations finished with a 3rd or 4th coldest July of record. 

   It was either feast or famine in the rainfall department with Beaver City...Gothenburg...Phillipsburg...Plainville and Smith Center the big winners with timely rain spread throughout the month.
