Wind Chill Advisory Through 11 am

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect through 11 am this morning. Here are the highlights:  

Winds: North winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 40 mph will be common early this morning. The winds will gradually decrease from west to east by mid to late morning. Blowing and drifting snow will continue through much of the morning, especially along and east of U.S. Highway 281.

Bitter cold: Low temperatures early this morning will be around zero with bitter cold wind chills. Wind chill readings, or the "feel-like temperature" will be anywhere from 20 to 28 below zero through mid to late morning. High temperatures today will not reach 10 degrees for most areas, followed by low temperatures as low as 10 to 18 below zero with the fresh snow cover tonight. .
