Snow Strikes The Area Late Thursday and Early Friday

A storm system moved across the region from west to east late February 18th into the day February 19th, bringing with it a round of light snow to several locations across the area.  Through 7 am on the 19th, locations generally along and north of a line from Hebron, to Hastings, to Cozad picked up anywhere from a couple tenths of an inch, to as much as one inch of snow.  A few localized areas, primarily near Ord and York observed snowfall accumulations greater than one inch.  The map and tables below show 24-hour snowfall, in inches, ending at 7 am February 19th...

At 7 am Friday, light snowfall was indicated falling over many locations across the area.  As a result, storm total snowfall accumulations will likely be higher than what is depicted in the data above.  We will update snowfall totals as additional snowfall reports are received Saturday morning.
