Quick Moving Storm System Brings 1-4 Inches of Snow Over the Weekend

A quick moving storm system moved across the central U.S. February 21st and 22nd.  Although the heaviest precipitation across the Central Plains was observed across portions of southern and eastern Kansas, enough atmospheric forcing and moisture existed further north to provide central and south central Nebraska, as well as portions of north central Kansas, with a fresh one to four inches of snow between Saturday, February 21 through Sunday, February 22nd.  The map below includes the 48-hour total snowfall through 7 am February 23rd.
