Friday Night Rainfall Summary and Maps

Rainfall from Friday night and early Saturday Morning (March 5-6) was fairly widespread across the region. The heaviest rain fell across southern Nebraska and a small part of northern Kansas. Over three-quarters of an inch of rain fell just south of Hastings, in and around Blue Hill, Bladen and Red Cloud. The heavier rainfall extended out from there to the west and south. Hastings recorded over one half inch of rain, while both Grand Island and Kearney were right at a half inch for the storm total. Most of the rain had moved out of the area by dawn Saturday.

More rain is on the way beginning Sunday night and lasting through Tuesday. Widespread rain is expected, with several areas likely measuring more than three-quarters of an inch. The heaviest rain should fall late Monday afternoon and Monday evening.
