Preliminary Wind Summary - May 24, 2010


     A strong south wind blasted the plains during the better part of the day Monday, May 24, 2010.  The wind was a result of a strong pressure gradient between deep low pressure over western South Dakota (999.3 millibars)...and high pressure centered over northeast Arkansas (1016.3 millibars).

    The table below provides a preliminary summary of wind gusts across our region.
