ON TUESDAY AUGUST 17 2010 NOAA/S NATIONAL WEATHER  
SERVICE/NWS/OFFICE IN HASTINGS NEBRASKA...AFTER COORDINATING WITH  
LOCAL OFFICIALS...ESTABLISHED A FLOOD STAGE AND IMPACT STATEMENTS  
ON THE MIRA CREEK NEAR NORTH LOUP.  
 
ACTION STAGE           8.0 FT  
FLOOD STAGE            9.0 FT  
MODERATE FLOOD STAGE  11.0 FT    
MAJOR FLOOD STAGE     12.0 FT  
 
IMPACT STATEMENTS:  
 
9.0 FT...MINOR FLOODING OCCURS IN LOW SPOTS ALONG THE MIRA CREEK  
 
11.0 FT...THERE IS SIGNIFICANT FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE   
MIRA CREEK AND A FEW HOMES NEAR THE CREEK IN THE TOWN OF NORTH LOUP   
WILL BEGIN TO FLOOD.  
 
12.0 FT...THERE IS SIGNIFICANT FLOODING ALONG THE MIRA CREEK AND   
NUMEROUS HOMES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE TOWN OF NORTH LOUP WILL   
LIKELY FLOOD.
