AN EARTHQUAKE HAS BEEN FELT WEAKLY IN THE STOCKTON KANSAS AREA.
NO DAMAGE HAS BEEN REPORTED.

THE UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY CONFIRMS THAT A 5.3 MAGNITUDE
EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED EARLY TUESDAY MORNING AT 1246 AM CDT. THE
EARTHQUAKE WAS CENTERED OVER SOUTH CENTRAL COLORADO...OR AROUND 9
MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF TRINIDAD COLORADO. THIS EARTHQUAKE HAS
BEEN FELT AS FAR AWAY AS WESTERN KANSAS AND EVEN SOUTHWEST
NEBRASKA.
