River Flows Will Increase Early Next Week

...STRONG RIVER FLOWS WILL INCREASE RIVER HAZARDS...

FORECAST FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK WILL
CAUSE AN INCREASE IN SNOW MELT. GENERALLY RIVERS...STREAMS AND
CREEKS SHOULD SEE THE HIGHEST FLOWS OF THE SEASON BY EARLY NEXT
WEEK. AT THIS TIME RIVER LEVELS ARE NOT FORECAST TO REACH CRITICAL
LEVELS FOR MOST MAINSTEM LOCATIONS. ALTHOUGH IT IS POSSIBLE THAT
SOME OF THE SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS MAY REACH BANKFULL.

AT HIGHER FLOWS...RIVER BANKS CAN QUICKLY BECOME SATURATED AND
UNSTABLE. CAUTION IS URGED NEAR WATERWAYS...RIVER BANKS CAN ERODE OR
COLLAPSE UNEXPECTEDLY. EXPECT EXTRA DEBRIS TO BE SWEPT DOWNSTREAM.
DO NOT LET CHILDREN PLAY NEAR HIGH FLOWING RIVERS...CREEKS AND
CANALS.

RIVER RAFTERS AND KAYAKERS SHOULD USE CAUTION ON RIVERS WITH HIGH
FLOWS...STRONG CURRENTS...AND COLD WATER TEMPERATURES. NOVICES
SHOULD RIDE WITH EXPERIENCED GUIDES.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IS URGING EVERYONE TO USE CAUTION
AROUND RIVERS...STREAMS...AND CREEKS.
