End of Year Winter Storm

A MAJOR WINTER STORM WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT EASTERN UTAH AND
WESTERN COLORADO WITH HEAVY SNOWFALL AT TIMES THROUGH FRIDAY.

THE MOUNTAINS OF EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN COLORADO SHOULD SEE 12
TO 24 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATING BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON...WITH MUCH
HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE ON WEST AND NORTHWEST FACING SLOPES. LOWER
ELEVATIONS WILL LIKELY RECEIVE 6 TO 12 INCHES OF NEW SNOW.  THE
COLD FRONT FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS STORM WILL PASS THROUGH THE
AREA LATE TONIGHT AND THURSDAY...AND THIS PERIOD WILL HAVE THE
HIGHEST SNOWFALL POTENTIAL.

TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED.  HOWEVER...IF YOU PLAN TRAVEL ANYWHERE
IN WESTERN COLORADO OR EASTERN UTAH THROUGH FRIDAY...BE PREPARED
FOR SEVERE WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.
