Low snowfall in Grand Junction this winter


The Grand Junction NWS has only recorded 2.1 inches of snowfall so
far this winter.  Through January 18, this is the 3rd lowest
snowfall total on record, dating back to 1893.  Back in 1942, only
0.2 inches of snow fell through this period.

The winter of 1980 1981 was the lowest snowfall total on record,
with only 5.9 inches of snow measured that winter.
