...DAMAGE SURVEYS INDICATE TEN TORNADOES WEDNESDAY EVENING...
            NUMEROUS TORNADOES DEVELOPED AND MOVED RAPIDLY NORTH ACROSS
            THE TRI-STATE AREA DURING THE EVENING OF MARCH 28 2007.  THE
            MAIN AREAS AFFECTED WERE COUNTIES ALONG THE COLORADO BORDER FROM
            WEST-CENTRAL KANSAS INTO SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA.  STORM ASSESSMENT
            TEAMS WERE DEPLOYED FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GOODLAND TO
            DETERMINE THE INTENSITIES OF THE TORNADOES. THE TEAMS DETERMINED
            THAT A TOTAL OF TEN TORNADOES STRUCK THE COUNTIES OF DECATUR...
            SHERMAN...GREELEY...WALLACE...AND CHEYENNE COUNTIES IN KANSAS AND
            ACROSS DUNDY COUNTY IN NEBRASKA.
            THE STRONGEST OF THE TEN TORNADOES OCCURRED IN EASTERN CHEYENNE
            COUNTY KANSAS WITH A DAMAGE TRACK EXTENDING FROM SOUTHEAST OF BIRD
            CITY TO ROUGHLY 10 MILES NORTH OF BIRD CITY.  A NUMBER OF HOMESTEADS
            SUFFERED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE...GIVING THE TORNADO AN EF2 RATING ON THE
            ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE.
            AS THE BIRD CITY TORNADO WAS DISSIPATING...ANOTHER TORNADO FORMED
            APPROXIMATELY THREE MILES TO THE NORTHEAST AND EVENTUALLY MOVED
            NORTH INTO SOUTHERN DUNDY COUNTY NEBRASKA...JUST EAST OF
            BENKELMAN.  SEVERAL HOMESTEADS WERE IMPACTED AND SIGNIFICANT TREE
            DAMAGE OCCURRED AT THE LOCAL GOLF COURSE.  THIS TORNADO WAS GIVEN AN
            EF1 RATING ON THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE.
            ANOTHER TORNADO GIVEN AN EF1 RATING MOVED NORTH THROUGH GREELEY
            COUNTY AND INTENSIFIED AS IT CROSSED INTO EXTREME SOUTHERN
            WALLACE COUNTY. THIS TORNADO BADLY DAMAGED THREE VACANT MOBILE HOMES.
            OTHER TORNADOES SURVEYED PRODUCED EF0 DAMAGE IN THE FOLLOWING
            LOCATIONS...
            -SOUTH CENTRAL GREELEY COUNTY.
            -CENTRAL WALLACE COUNTY NEAR SHARON SPRINGS.
            -EXTREME WEST CENTRAL GREELEY COUNTY NEAR THE COMMUNITY OF TOWNER
            COLORADO.
            -EASTERN DECATUR COUNTY NEAR THE COMMUNITY OF JENNINGS.
            -THERE WERE THREE SEPARATE TORNADOES IN EASTERN SHERMAN COUNTY...
            EAST OF GOODLAND...AND NEAR AND NORTH OF EDSON.
