...POTENT WINTER STORM TO MOVE ACROSS THE TRI STATE AREA TONIGHT
AND TUESDAY...

.A STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST UNITED STATES AND
BEGIN MOVING ACROSS THE TRI-STATE REGION LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THE
STORM WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE AREA THROUGH LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN TONIGHT AS LIGHT FREEZING RAIN IN MOST
AREAS...CHANGING TO SNOW BY MIDNIGHT ACROSS NORTHERN AND WESTERN
PORTIONS OF THE AREA. HOWEVER...WIDESPREAD FREEZING RAIN WILL
PERSIST THROUGH THE NIGHT ACROSS SOUTHERN AND ESPECIALLY EASTERN
AREAS...WITH SIGNIFICANT ICE ACCUMULATIONS LIKELY IN THOSE LOCATIONS
OVERNIGHT AND INTO TUESDAY MORNING. LIGHT SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE
TO FALL THROUGH THE DAY ON TUESDAY.
