Winter Weather 2007-2008

Another Winter Storm Impacts

The Central High Plains

December 14, 2007

National Weather Service
Goodland, Kansas

Overview

During the early morning hours of December 14th, a strong upper level storm system moved across the Central High Plains bringing another round of winter weather to the area.  Thankfully, the precipitation from this storm system fell as snow rather than the mixture of precipitation the previous storm produced.  While snowfall totals varied greatly over the area, the greatest amounts were generally along the US Highway 36 corridor.  Below is a graphical display of snowfall totals across the area. Click on the image for a larger version.  Please note some of the snowfall totals are courtesy of CoCoRAHS and the Nebraska Rainfall Assessment and Information Network (NERAIN).
