Weekend Heavy Rain & Snow Event Summary

A slow moving storm system brought heavy rainfall to portions of central and east-central Wisconsin this past weekend through early this morning.  Locations from Wautoma to Manitowoc received anywhere between 3 and 6 inches of rainfall (see map below).  The heavy rain caused urban flooding in Oshkosh as several roads were closed due to high water.  Other locations saw lowland flooding as well as a rise in area creeks and rivers.

The storms system also produced 2 to 6 inches of snow across the area.  See the map below for a look at where the heaviest snow fell.  Please note additional snowfall may have fallen (especially across east-central Wisconsin) and is not included in this map.  Some power outages were even reported as the combination of the heavy wet snow and gusty winds brought down some tree limbs.

Liquid Precipitation Analysis Saturday - Monday Morning.

Here is a list of 2-day precipitation totals from the area.  Please note, some of the totals include melted snow.
