Winds will shift to the northeast this afternoon, and to the east tonight. As wind speeds increase later today through early next week the significant ice on the bay will move towards the western shore and possibly damage docks and boats currently in marinas. Lesser amounts of ice over northern Lake Michigan will also be moving westward and could reach the eastern shores of the Door Peninsula later today or Sunday. The ice could be a hazard to boaters. The significant ice cover on the bay can be see in the satellite picture below from Friday, April 25th.
