March 2012: Warmest in Weather History in Northeast Wisconsin

March 2012 will go into the history books as the warmest on record across Wisconsin, including the northeast and north-central part of the state.  Numerous cities broke 100+ year old records as an unprecedented period of warmth blanketed the area for about two weeks during the middle of the month.

The warm weather resulted in not only numerous temperature records, but green lawns and flowering trees--several weeks ahead of schedule!
