Cold and Snowy December

December 2013 ended up cold and snowy across north-central and northeast Wisconsin. The average temperature for the month was generally from 5 to 9 degrees below normal.  Surprisingly, it was about this cold back in December 2008, except that year had record breaking monthly snowfall totals across much of the region. Snowfall totals for the month were generally 5 to 13 inches above normal.
