Ice Jam on Grand River Upstream of Ada

Large chunks of ice were reported on the Grand River upstream of Comstock Park. The ice was moving downstream of Comstock Park. However, it was reported to be jammed up just upstream of the M-21 bridge in Ada. Ice jams can form quickly and cause rapid fluctuations in river levels. This ice will eventually flow downstream toward Grand Haven, and there is some uncertainty about where additional ice jams could form. The Grand River is reportedly coming out of its banks upstream of Ada.
