The atmosphere will become increasingly unstable this afternoon into the evening across southwest Lower Michigan. A weak wave of low pressure will move in...and could trigger some thunderstorms. A slight risk for a few Severe thunderstorms exists. Wind gusts over 60 mph and large hail are the primary threats, but an isolated tornado is possble. The main storm motion will be east at around 40 mph. Frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall will accompany the strongest storms.
