Several clusters of severe thunderstorms are possible later tonight through Wednesday night. Damaging winds are the main threat with these storms. In addition an increasing risk for tornadoes exists. Any of the stronger storms could contain frequent lightning and where the storms persist, locally excessive rain could fall. Much of lower Michigan is under a moderate risk for severe weather for Wednesday into Wednesday night.
It appears now that a complex of thunderstorms will move in across the area around daybreak Wednesday morning, and will impact the area through a good portion of the morning. This complex could produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall.
We will likely see a break in the activity then from late morning and into the afternoon hours. As the cold front approaches the area late in the afternoon, it will be possible that another line of storms will develop.
Here is the latest Severe Weather Outlook from 8 am Wednesday morning through Wednesday night.
