Thunderstorms are expected today and some of the storms could be severe, with damaging winds and large hail. Frequent lightning and heavy rainfall are also possible. The storms will move from west to east at around 40 mph.
Clusters of storms will affect areas north of Interstate 96 this morning. Then during the afternoon as the atmosphere destabilizes, another batch of storms will develop and spread over the rest of southwest Lower Michigan. Be alert for changing weather and be prepared to take action should severe weather occur.
