The weather pattern will beome increasing active for the end of the week. A warm front will lift north into lower Michigan late Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. Accompanying the passage of this system will be thunderstorms, with a risk for severe weather southwest of a line from South Haven to Kalamazoo. Then the front becomes nearly stationary across lower Michigan into Saturday. The risk for strong to severe thunderstorm will persist around this front. In addition frequent lightning and briefly heavy rainfall could accompany the thunderstorms. Some of the storms will be fast moving, so mariners will need to monitor the weather closely into Saturday. If you have outdoor plans, monitor the weather closely in the next several days as several rounds of thunderstorms are expected.
