The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Grand Rapids, Michigan will be hosting an open house at its facility this Saturday, October 9th, 2010, rain or shine, from 10 am - 4 pm. Admission to the open house is free.
This open house will provide an opportunity for the public to tour our office, learn about what we do at the National Weather Service, and to interact with many of the agencies we work with.
In addition to touring our facilities and seeing some of our tools in forecasting and warning operations, everyone will also have an opportunity to see the following:
