NWS needs a COOP weather observer in Williamston. Are you interested?

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids is looking for a dedicated and weather enthusiatic individual, family, or business, to take daily precipitation readings 365 days a year. The right candidate would become part of a network of 12,000 dedicated volunteers who provide about 5 minutes a day of their time to help keep the nations climate database accurate and ongoing.

If you live or work within 5 miles of Williamston, have internet access, and can read a rain gage and measure snow around 8 am each day, I would like to hear from you. Follow the link below to see the 8 inch standard rain gage that you will be receiving. There will not be a wind screen or snow cutter on the gage.
